Gracie Jiu-Jitsu - Pedro Sauer Team

Ever since Royce Gracie dominated the first few MMA events held in the United States, nearly every martial arts enthusiast in the country wanted to take Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and nearly every martial arts instructor in the US wished they could teach it. Unfortunately, this led to a lot of martial arts schools advertising classes in "Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu" or "Gracie Jiu-Jitsu" whether or not the instructor had any formal training in those arts.

It has been the honor and privilege of Mr. Emfield, our head instructor, to train directly under Professor Pedro Sauer, widely recognized as the finest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor in the world. Professor Sauer is a sixth degree black belt and close friend of Rickson Gracie.

Many of our assistant instructors have also had the opportunity to train with Professor Sauer. When Academy students earn a belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Pedro Sauer, Rickson Gracie, and Helio Gracie are included on the certificate.

In short, taking Gracie Jiu-Jitsu classes at The Academy is a rare and unique experience, different from anything you might experience anywhere else. You really have to experience it to believe it.
